ASTORIA, QUEENS — A new Japanese and Latin-infused restaurant opened in Astoria over the weekend, celebrating its grand opening with a night filled with Caribbean music.
Agenda, located at 28-18 31st Street, held its opening event on Saturday and encouraged members of the community to apply for open positions at the restaurant.
The restaurant, which doubles as a lounge, sits in the previous location of Don Coqui, a former, high-end Puerto Rican restaurant that closed in July 2020.
On Saturday, Agenda welcomed Astoria residents with bachata DJs throughout the night, according to videos posted on social media.
