Best Mall In New Jersey

Shops at American Dream

Attention shoppers: the American Dream mall, one of the country’s largest, has opened in the Greater New York City area. The vast shopping and entertainment complex is now open after many years of waiting and continuous setbacks.

After Triple Five Group announced the project, we’re almost there, 16 years, three developers, and $5 billion later. The Group, which also owns the iconic Mall of America in Minnesota, has developed The American Dream, a new mega-mall project in the United States. It’s an understatement to characterize the American Dream as a shopping mall.

The American Dream complex is more than just a shopping center. There are hundreds of businesses here and an incredible number of entertainment options. The complex is virtually evenly divided between commerce and entertainment.

Tickets to the American Dream Mall‘s theme parks are quite popular. As a result, you should purchase your tickets in advance of your visit. You can do so right here (and if something should come up: you can cancel them free of charge up to 24 hours before your visit).

Entertainment at American Dream

Entertainment takes up more than half of the massive facility. So even if you don’t like shopping, you’ll find plenty to do here. The following list of entertainment facilities in the American Dream Mall will give you a good idea.

Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park

The Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park will be the largest indoor theme park in the Western Hemisphere, which is great news for adrenaline seekers! Over 35 rides and attractions will be available. Spongebob or Dora the Explorer are just a few of the characters you’ll meet.

The Rink at the American Dream

The Ice Rink at the American Dream Mall will be an NHL-regulation-sized ice hockey rink used for skating, tournaments, and other family-friendly activities.

DreamWorks Water Park

While Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park will become North America’s largest indoor theme park, DreamWorks Water Park will become the continent’s largest indoor water park. Over 40 slides and attractions await you, including the world’s tallest indoor body slide! If that’s too much for you, you can relax in one of the numerous Cabana lounges.

The record-breaking adventures at the American Dream don’t end at the water park. Big SNOW will be America’s only indoor real-snow park, open 365 days a year. Have a good time on your own or take advantage of the lessons and coaching available.

Aside from these four major attractions, the American Dream also houses a luxury cinema theatre, a SEA LIFE Aquarium, a 300-foot tall observation wheel, and the LEGOLAND Discovery Center.

Shops at American Dream

Over 500 retailers, ranging from well-known to high-end brands, will be housed in the American Dream Mall. Whatever you’re looking for, you’ll almost certainly find it here. Naturally, a comparable number of meal alternatives will be available to refuel during your exhausting shopping excursion. The following is a list of just a handful of the stores in the American Dream Mall where you will be able to shop.

  • H&M
  • Dolce & Gabbana
  • Zara
  • Uniqlo
  • Primark
  • Sephora
  • Saks Fifth Avenue
  • Tiffany & Co.

Bergen County, one of the few remaining counties with the so-called blue legislation, Bergen County is home to the American Dream Mall. Sunday shopping is prohibited under the blue legislation, which means that stores will be closed on that day of the week. The rest of the entertainment complex will be open as usual.

Getting to the American Dream

A mall of this magnitude would be impossible to build in New York City. It may be found about 5 miles outside of the city, on the New Jersey side of the Hudson. The shopping center is in East Rutherford, close to Metlife Stadium.

If you’ve ever visited Metlife Stadium or the nearby Garden State Plaza Mall, you’ll know how easy it is to get to the area from Manhattan. Meanwhile, the American Dream Mall will provide additional shuttle service for its visitors due to the large number of expected tourists.

Public Transportation

The NJ Transit bus hub and station are on-site at American Dream, making it simple to get there by bus or train. A shuttle service runs from the NY Waterway ferry terminal in Weehawken to the mall. The cost of a ferry and shuttle ticket from Manhattan to the American Dream is $16. You can buy your tickets ahead of time.

By Car

Route 3, the New Jersey Turnpike, and Route 120 lead to the American Dream Mall. With 150,000 estimated visitors on busy days, the mall is expected to cause massive traffic bottlenecks in an already congested area during rush hour and on days when Metlife Stadium hosts sporting events.

With these issues in mind, driving may be the least preferred mode of transportation if the predicted tourist numbers are met. If you want to travel by car, keep in mind that parking is now free.
