Spring has officially sprung and – as much as we have loved the athleisure lifestyle of 2020 – we’re beyond ready to trade in our sweats for something a little more fun and flirty. Of course, that doesn’t mean you have to go full-glam to keep with the trends this spring. There’s a little something for everyone. Whether you’re ready to show some leg – or just ready to ditch the leggings look – there’s a 2021 spring trend out there with your name on it. Scroll on for your guide to the spring 2021 fashion trends and embrace your inner trendsetter this season.

The Trend:

Mini Skirts and Dresses

If you want your wardrobe to make a big impression this season, you have to think small. Actually, mini. Mini skirts and dresses are making a major impact on the style scene this spring. Whether you consider yourself a fashion influencer or are slightly more Clueless when it comes to following trends, the mini look is one you can slip into your wardrobe rotation without a whole lot of prepping. Pair them with long, cute cardigans, kimonos or simply a sleeveless tank and chic moto jacket. However you wear it, you’re going to get noticed.

Show off those legs-for-days in a flirty short mini dress paired with some platform sneaks and a stylish white denim jacket. Top the look off with some cool shades and frilly earrings and you’ll be ready to walk your own personal runway – and turn some serious heads.

The Trend:

Stylish Cutouts

This spring, legs aren’t the only body parts eager to see some sun. Cool and tasteful cutouts and avant garde shapes in dresses, tops and bottoms alike are making a mark on our wardrobe this season. Think plunging necklines, distressed jeans and sexy side cutouts, just to name a few. While this style looks great on its own, they work well layered with thin tops, tights and outfit-completing jackets.

Make an unforgettable entrance at your next event in a glamorous cutout mini dress. Add some high heels and a quilted clutch and you’ll have the look everyone will want.

The Trend:

Relaxed Fit

Let your skinny jeans take a breather this spring and opt for a more relaxed pant leg instead. A-line silhouettes are where it’s at this season and that means you need to slip into a little something more comfortable this spring. You know, like bootcut jeans and boyfriend blazers. Just remember to keep your outfit visually balanced. In other words, if you go loose on bottom, you’ll want to pair it with a more fitted top or run the risk of looking frumpy instead of stylish.

Get comfortable in your favorite sassy tee and a pair of light wash bootcut jeans. Add some strappy heels to keep those long lines going strong. And skip the jacket. Instead, layer with a long boyfriend blazer and wide-brimmed hat for a little extra sass.

The Trend:

Floral Print

Everything’s coming up floral this spring and we’re totally here for it. After a long, emotionally draining winter (and year), we all could use a little bright and happy flower power, don’t you think? If you’re not used to wearing bold patterns, then opt for smaller prints instead. And, yes, you can mix patterns as long as you balance them out. After all, every floral ensemble offers a bouquet of possibility (see what I did there?). From blouses to dresses, skirts to layers, you’re definitely going to want to embrace the floral trend this spring.

The Trend:

Stylish Shades

With far more sunny days on the horizon, why not invest in a pair or two of trendy sunglasses to help elevate your everyday ensemble? Using accessories to amplify a basic outfit is one of the best fashion secrets any gal can learn. And, yes, sunglasses are an accessory (even when they’re just sitting on the top of your head).

Use a pair of trendy square-rimmed shades to glam up your classic jeans and button-down attire. Throw a quilted crossbody purse into the mix, too, for a little extra fab on any regular day.

The Trend:

Square Toe Shoes

You know what else goes with spring? Sandals! Show off those freshly pedicured toes in a pair of stylish square toe sandals this season. Of course, you don’t have to solely wear sandals – but if you can, why wouldn’t you?

Sheer

Ever heard that expression, “leave a little something to the imagination”? Not this spring. Sheer is in this season and we think that’s pretty fun. Keep things fun and flirty by incorporating a little transparency into your wardrobe. Think flowy dresses, stylish tops and even sheer-inspired bathing suits for a little preemptive poolside flirting.
