5 Napkin Burger
This amazing burger spot has four locations spread throughout NYC, ensuring that you are never too far away from one of the best in the city. What makes their burgers so delicious? You’ll know the moment you bite into one: not only does the meat look good, but it’s also very juicy.
We’ve tried the 5 Napkin restaurants a lot, so we’ve tried a lot of burgers. To begin, we always order the classic cheeseburger so that we can make a comparison to other cheeseburgers from other restaurants. We tested the specialty burgers, with the Bacon Cheddar Burger being our personal favorite.
Shake Shack
Shake Shack has several spots throughout New York. Try their Brooklyn/Dumbo location near the Brooklyn Bridge if you enjoy eating indoors.
Shake Shack’s burgers are genuinely delicious. The juicy meat, which softens along with the cheese and their own (secret) sauce, is the key to the second-best burger in town. When you take your first bite, you’ll notice that there’s just the right amount of each ingredient.
Bareburger
Bareburger comes in third place on this list, owing to its build-your-own-burger approach. You can select a patty, bun, cheese, bacon, vegetables, sauce, and spread in seven steps. You’re never far from one, with 18 locations spread across New York City.
Another factor that propels Bareburger to the top of the best burgers list is the variety of meats. You can select a patty made of anything from quinoa to wild boar, elk, or duck. Everything is also organic, which adds to the uniqueness of this location. The Southern Caviar Burger, made with bison meat, is our favorite. All of this adds up to make Bareburger a shop in its league.
Burger & Barrel
Burger & Barrel is an American pub serving fine food and wine. The atmosphere is also perfectly described by the name. It’s a place that’s classy and basic, delicious but simple.
The Bash Style Burger is our personal favorite here. The Bash Burger is topped with onion and bacon jam, American cheese, and special sauce. The onion and bacon jam, which adds the proper balance of smoky sweetness to the deliciously cooked meat, is unquestionably the burger’s highlight.
5 Guys Burger and Fries
5 Guys Burger and Fries is now a well-known fast-food chain worldwide. Good ingredients are the foundation of their success, giving their burgers an excellent taste even though they are classified as fast food.
While it may seem surprising, we prefer the small burgers here. Order the Cajun Style Fries as a side dish because they have the correct amount of spice and go perfectly with the burger!
Overall, we were surprised to include a fast-food chain among our top burgers in the city. The key is that the burgers are perfectly balanced; you can taste each ingredient separately with each bite.
