Do you want to know where to get the best sushi in Manhattan? Then you’re like me, who adores sushi – but I was disappointed a few times in New York when it didn’t live up to my expectations. Here are my recommendations for good Japanese eateries in Manhattan to ensure that you don’t get disappointed like me.
Blue Ribbon Sushi Izakaya
Blue Ribbon Sushi Izakaya is a classic sushi bar and a Japanese-style tavern with a fine dining experience. This place is all about getting together with friends and having a good time while drinking and eating wonderful food.
Blue Ribbon has everything all, from small plate options to family-style platters. This Lower East Side restaurant’s location is lovely and convenient if you want to head straight to the East Village.
BondST
BondST is an outstanding Japanese restaurant that ranks among the best in New York City. Fine dining meets high-class and inventive sushi creations here, all in a laid-back setting.
BondST is housed in a classic Soho-style structure with three levels (Soho borders NoHo). A sophisticated lounge with its sushi bar on the lower floor. On the first and second floors, you’ll find the Main Room.
BondST is the place to go in New York if you want to eat exceptionally amazing and authentic sushi. It is not inexpensive, but it is well worth the money.
By the way, I think the name is the only thing about BONDST that isn’t original. What is the source of it? “6 Bond Street” is the address of the Japanese restaurant.
Harajuku Sushi & Crêpe
On one side, there’s excellent sushi, and on the other, there are fresh crêpes. Avocados, prawns, pork, eggs, and various other ingredients are used to fill the crêpes. You can tell the ingredients are always fresh because you can taste them. There are sweet crêpes as well as savoury crêpes. Chocolate, ice cream, fresh fruit, and homemade Matcha chocolate truffles fill them.
Hudson Eats
You can get a beautiful view of the Hudson River and the Statue of Liberty from the Hudson Eats. The restaurants are more sophisticated, so they aren’t exactly low-cost, but there are a few ways to save a little money even here. Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar, Umami Burger, and Dos Toros Taqueria are just a few examples. Inside, the architecture is equally magnificent. Hudson Eats worth a visit for more than just the food.
Kenka NYC

Momofuku Ssäm Bar
Which is better: Korean or Japanese? The owner of Momofuku is hesitant to make a long-term commitment. The menu changes frequently, and fresh ingredients from nearby farms are always available. When you look at the menu, one thing stands out above all else: meat.
Momoya
Momoya is a Japanese restaurant that serves some of New York’s best sushi. I adore sushi, and this place has a fantastic selection of sashimi, sushi, and a variety of high-quality rolls.
My recommendation: the lunch special is excellent value for money.
Nobu
Nobu is regarded as one of New York’s pioneers of Japanese cuisine. You may enjoy first-class sushi and highly pleasant service in an exclusive setting. The interior design’s goal is to convey the beauty of the Japanese landscape. The space features birch trees in the middle, a lovely wooden floor, and distinctive ornamental paintings on the walls.
