Midtown NYC’s Best Italian Restaurants

Midtown NYC's Best Italian Restaurants

If you’re searching for the finest Italian restaurants in Midtown NYC, you’ve come to the right place. There are excellent restaurants around the city that bring Italy everything we adore to the table, and these are not just in Little Italy. You can find out where to get extremely good antipasti, pasta, pizza, and so on my list of the top Italian restaurants in Midtown NYC!

Carroll Place

Carroll Place on Bleecker Street is indeed a unique idea in that it is both a gastropub and a wine bar serving Italian-inspired cuisine. When we go to brunch in New York, it’s one of our favorites. The ambiance is laid-back, the energy is always positive, and the cuisine is delectable!

The pizza with truffles and the Pasta Vongole were two of our favorites. Because the pizza oven is wood-fired, the pizzas have the flavor that a pizza should have! By the way, the Carroll Place Burger with Gorgonzola is a must-try next time. This one seems to be quite tasty as well!

If you want to go for brunch, I recommend making a reservation ahead of time.

Dante NYC

There’s no avoiding Dante NYC when it comes to the greatest Negroni in town. They’ve been serving its Negroni since 1915 (it’s an Italian restaurant with a small bar) and are a New York institution. It’s on the corner of Greenwich Village, SoHo, and Hudson Square, and it’s where we go when we’re in New York.

Gelso & Grand

The Gelso & Grand is a well-balanced restaurant (with outstanding pizza), a bar, and a little outdoor space. It is extremely elegant and serves excellent espresso in the traditional Italian style. The audience is diverse, from families with toddlers to couples and business espresso visitors.

La Mela

If you want to go out for supper in a more casual atmosphere, the La Mela is an excellent place to go. An authentic Italian family prepares the meal. The mussels are an absolute must-try.

La Pecora Bianca

La Pecora Bianca, which means “White Sheep” in Italian, is an Italian restaurant that specializes in farm-to-table cuisine. Their ingredients are sourced locally, allowing them to “shine.”

Lombardi’s Pizza

Lombardi’s is a pizza restaurant in Nolita that is the country’s first pizzeria. Here you may eat deliciously and relax in a warm Italian environment. Also, don’t miss out on the Meatballs!

Rubirosa

From the outside, the restaurant appears to be a regular Italian eatery. You’ll feel quite at home: there are excellent red wines a friendly ambiance, and you’ll undoubtedly be among the locals. Because of its great cooking, the Rubirosa is one of the most popular Italian restaurants in town. The pasta and the appetizers (such as grilled calamari) are reminiscent of Italian cuisine, as is the pizza.

If you’re searching for a late-afternoon glass of wine and some nibbles, or a wonderful evening meal, this is a good option. There’s also a pizza hour, where you can get two pizzas for the price of one!

Serafina Broadway

Serafina’s restaurants are fantastic! There are currently over ten locations in New York where you can taste delicious Italian cuisine. The pizza is legendary, and each Serafina location is elegantly decorated and offers a comfortable yet refined ambiance.

The burrata and lobster ravioli in the shape of a heart is wonderful. I’ve had a few pizzas, and they’ve all been wonderful. The classic Margherita pizza and the Portofino pizza with pesto and pine nuts are highly recommended!

Villa Mosconi

Villa Mosconi is the place to go if you’re seeking an authentically old Italian restaurant. This restaurant has been in operation for over 40 years and is still owned and operated by the same family.

Villa Mosconi is a family-friendly and pleasant restaurant that serves authentic Italian cuisine in a wonderful setting. It doesn’t matter what kind of (homemade) pasta you order; it’ll be great. The Veal Milanese was another standout for us. What’s even better? The pricing is quite affordable!

Villa Mosconi is, in my opinion, one of New York’s top Italian restaurants, since we were never disappointed during any of our visits!
